What would you say if I told you that can experience Wow Moments more often in your life? Yes. That feeling of “Wow” every day.

Join this fun game designed to bring more Wow into your life. It doesn’t take much time just a slight change in your focus. When you join in on the fun, every day you receive an email with a fun suggestion on something to look for in your life. Something that makes you feel, ‘Wow’. And when you feel inspired, you can share your thoughts, your photos or ideas in a community of Wow-minded people.

The 30 Days of Wow Journey will reveal simple secrets that will make you feel happier and more connected with your world.

My name is Vickie Lewis, and I’ve been a professional photojournalist for the past 30 years.  I’m excited to share this fun journey and some of the things I’ve learned with you. While our focus is on taking pictures, this game is not just for people who like to take pictures. It’s for everyone who wants to have more fun and bring more joy and inspiration into their lives.

What I bring is a trained eye to seeing things in a different way. A gift for finding beauty. A philosophy. While on staff at The Des Moines Register, David Peterson, a Pulitzer Prize winning photographer and colleague told me, ” Good photographers don’t take pictures with their eyes, they take pictures with their heart.” That was in 1983, and I have created a career and lived my life with that in mind.

The Wow Moment is  about seeing the world through the eyes of a photographer, yes. But it’s so much more. I want you to encourage you to see the world through your own eyes, in a new way, with your own heart. Your way of expressing may be writing, singing, acting or being a good parent. It might be leading a company, painting, drawing or performing an act of random kindness. It’s all perfect. This is about YOU experiencing more Wow in your life.
The camera is a perfect metaphor for our lives. Every day, our world offers us millions of choices on where to spend our energy, what to think about and what to do. Distractions are everywhere. We have a choice in each moment of where to look and where to focus our ‘internal cameras’. Just like a camera, our mind freezes each moment. And, moment by moment, frame by frame, we create the tapestry of our life. —Vickie Lewis

My WOW moment this morning. Walking down the hill to feed the horses. They weren’t the least bit interested in breakfast as they stood relaxed and dozing in narrow patches of sunlight, steam rising off their bodies. Oh, for want of a camera at that moment…

    I’m signing up right now!
